I am highly dissatisfied. This was my first time coming here and I booked an hour massage. The lady only massaged me for 30 min and said they were too busy to finish. Charged me extra $10 for massaging me with coconut oil when I didn’t request that. Then told me how much to tip. This is a complete rip off and I will NEVER come back again. My back is still in a lot of pain!!!!!
I have been going to Massage Nova for probably over a decade now. It is a terrific place to get a relaxing massage at a price that does not break the bank. The service has been fantastic ever since I started going to Massage Nova when it was based East Cobb. The bottom line is that I highly recommend Massage Nova! Jerry (the owner) is exceptionally customer service focused, and his massage therapists are excellent!
Well, I guess you get what you pay for. I chose this location for a full body massage after seeing they were only $50. I knew it probably wasn’t going to be the greatest massage at that price, but I thought, how bad could it be? I called on a Friday around noon to see if maybe, by chance, they could take me at four. The man who answered the phone took my name and the time I wanted to come in and that was it. When I arrived a little before four, I was greeted by a woman who said nothing to me. I said, “hi, I have a 4 o’clock.” She looked at me very confused and then, without saying anything, took me into a room and closed the door. Not once did anyone ask for any of my information or what type of massage I wanted or problem areas I might have. The woman was nice enough, and I’m sure she did her best, but here is a list of things I found weird/unpleasant: 1.the room was cold, and she kept my feet uncovered the entire time 2.when I say cover, I mean scratchy towels. Laying on scratchy towels, covered with scratchy towels, and rubbed down with scratchy towels. 3.she tried to upsell me during my massage for 10 extra dollars for coconut scented lotion. 4.at one point she got on the table and straddled my head while she was massaging me. 5. She walked out of the room twice to get hot wet towels without saying a word to me. The first time, I thought maybe the massage was over. 6.after doing my back, and then again after doing the front of my body, she would leave the room and come back and wipe me down with hot wet towels. I like the idea of leaving without being all greasy from the lotion, but once the towel was removed, I was left wet in a cold room. Not relaxing! 7.she never massaged my neck or did my favorite part of every massage I’ve ever had- when they pull your neck at the very end and you feel like you are an inch taller! So disappointing! 8.when I left to pay, I had to stand at the front desk for 10 minutes while two women tried to figure out the credit card machine. 9.she called me “lady” the entire time, because that was about as much information she knew about me. I’m giving them two stars only because they were nice, The place was clean enough, and there were definitely parts of the massage that felt OK. For the most part though, she just moved her hands in repeating circles on the same spots for a few seconds before doing it to a new spot. I should’ve just payed another $20 somewhere better.
I had Lucy as my massage therapist. She was wonderful! She would check and make sure the pressure she applied was okay every once in awhile or if she heard me make a noise. She was very friendly and professional. As a bigger woman, I know she really had to work on some areas extra and did so wonderfully. I also like that the massage tables are lower so they are easier to lay down on and get situated. The place is very nice, clean and quiet. Will definitely be going again soon.
I only allow myself a massage once a month, because I would go broke if I booked a massage every time I wanted one. I have had a massage from Mandy and Lucy at Massage Nova a couple times and they are the best. If I ever won the lottery I would get a massage here each day. :-)
